DEKRANAS JABAR - Industri kerajinan yang tumbuh dan berkembang saat ini didasarkan atas keahlian dan bakat yang dimiliki para perajin, ditunjang oleh kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi hasil produksinya telah menjadi salah satu sumber pendapatan yang cukup menguntungkan bagi para perajin, pelaku usaha turunannya, pemerintah daerah maupun negara melalui penerimaan devisa.

Provinsi Jawa Barat dengan 26 Kabupaten/Kota didalamnya memiliki keanekaragaman produk kerajinan tentunya dapat dijadikan modal untuk menunjang pembangunan daerah baik dari sisi peningkatan kesempatan usaha masyarakat maupun penyerapan tenaga kerja. Untuk itu sudah selayaknya Pemerintah Daerah, Dekranasda, beserta seluruh komponen masyarakat bekerjasama dan saling mendukung untuk memajukan dan mengembangkan industri kerajinan Jawa Barat.

Hal penting yang perlu diperhatikan dalam membina industri kerajinan ditengah derasnya arus globalisasi informasi dan perdagangan bebas adalah meningkatkan promosi, menjamin kualitas produk, harga yang kompetitif serta memberikan pelayanan yang optimal terhadap para pembeli, sejalan dengan terus mengembangkan kemampuan usaha para perajin serta memberikan perlindungan hukum atas hasil karya para perajin melalui pemberian sertifikat HaKI .

Untuk hal tersebut kami melihat pembinaan industri kerajinan Jawa Barat kedepan harus didorong untuk lebih meningkatkan kreatifitas para perajin dalam mengembangkan desain produk agar memiliki daya saing tinggi serta dukungan pembinaan dari pemerintah maupun asosiasi termasuk Dewan Kerajinan Nasional Daerah secara sinergi, proporsional dan berkesinambungan sesuai tugas pokok dan fungsinya masing-masing.

Tentu saja pembinaan yang dilaksanakan oleh Dewan Kerajinan Nasional Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat masa bhakti 2003-2008, masih belum optimal dan meninggalkan beberapa program yang belum terselesaikan menyangkut kegiatan kesekretariatan, pembinaan bidang penelitian dan pengembangan, bidang program dan organisasi, bidang promosi dan pengembangan usaha serta bidang hubungan antar lembaga juga yang berkaitan dengan pengelolaan Gedung Jabar Craft Center. Untuk itu pada kesempatan ini kami mengharapkan Ketua dan Pengurus Dekranasda yang baru di bawah kepemimpinan Ibu Hj. Netti Prasetiyani A. Heryawan SS. serta dukungan Gubernur Jawa Barat dapat memberikan sentuhan pembinaan yang lebih bermakna agar eksistensi Dekranasda Provinsi Jawa Barat dapat lebih dirasakan manfaatnya oleh para perajin khususnya dan masyarakat Jawa Barat pada umumnya.
